Any suggestions? I've put a copy of the TeX I use on the 3b1 on csvax.caltech.edu (192.12.18.1) (pub/tex-3b1.tar.Z). The version of TeX is This is TeX, C Version 2.95 The tar file includes the tex previewer I hacked up, based on texx and texsun. No documentation -- read the source (the source for the library is not included, though a compiled library is -- enough to remake tex3b1). Tex3b1 looks in the file /usr/local/lib/tex/fontdesc for font information. Since I'm up to my ears in work at the moment, I can't really do any more than what I've done here. If there are serious problems, talk to me after the middle of December. The contents of the tar file follow. Extract in /usr/local/. Get the fonts, font metrics, and macros from your favourite TeX source. The compressed tar file is about 675k.
