I need to buy 2 WD1010 disk controller chips. I have found no ad that includes this chip in any of the magazines I get and none of my catalogs has it either. Calls to a few places that seemed likely to carry them turned up negative results. Can someone point me to a vendor that could sell me these chips? Thanks Augustine Cano canoaf@dept.csci.unt.edu

I don't know specifically about the wd1010, but I got a couple wd2010's from a place called Solid State Sales in Massachusetts. (Sorry, I don't have their address any more, but I got their phone number from 800 information when I placed my order.) The wd2010's were about $15 per. If you happen to be looking for wd1010's for UNIXpc's, then the wd2010 is okay as a replacement and happens to boost the number of tracks you can use (wd1010 is limitied to 1024). -- Bill Carpenter att!ho5cad!wjc or attmail!bill
