Gdb 3.5, the GNU source-level debugger, is now available for the UNIXpc in the osu-cis UNIXpc software archive. Information on how to access the osu-cis archive has just been posted to unix-pc.general and comp.sys.att. From the archive's README: ----- -rw-rw-r-- 1 ftp 10 166311 Mar 4 11:01 gdb3.5-bin.Z UNIXpc executable (with COFF support) for gdb 3.5, the GNU Debugger. Far superior to sdb. Thanks to Craig Loomis (loomis@cs.umass.edu), to whom any and all bug reports should be sent. -rw-rw-r-- 1 ftp 10 12053 Mar 4 11:01 gdb3.5-patch.Z Patches to the GDB-3.5 distribution kit adding UNIXpc COFF support. ----- Note that source and documentation for gdb is not included here, but is available elsewhere on osu-cis. See the file ~/GNU.how-to-get. Gdb is available here through the good works of Craig Loomis. He's generously offered to accept (and perhaps even deal with) bug reports, so if you have some difficulty with gdb, send mail to loomis@cs.umass.edu. Thanks, Craig, and happy debugging to all! -- Brant Cheikes University of Pennsylvania, Department of Computer and Information Science brant@manta.pha.pa.us, brant@linc.cis.upenn.edu, bpa!manta!brant
