Since I haven't turned any cash over to them yet, they're stoppped for now. I make a trip to the bank/post office to cash a lot of checks on Monday, then I'll take the money up and pay EDA. I will not cash the checks over the 40 mark, I'll hold on to them until I hear from their owners. Right now I AM planning on making another run of boards. I would be a fool to assume all 40 of the boards in production will work. How well this lot of 40 work and what, if anything is wrong with them will determine if I do anything to change the design. Work is slowly progressing on my next project: The UNIXpc/IBM-PC Buss Bridge (UIBB). The IBM-PC bus is the only one that even comes close to the price range of most UNIXpc users. After the HD2 experience, I've learned the value of designing stuff that "just plugs right in", so the UIBB will be a regular expansion card. Most of the design is still up in the air, ranging from two extreams: minimal functionality, low part count all the way up to full functionality: memory, I/O, interrupts, DMA, bus master, refresh, etc. All this would open up a night mare of software to be written, but hey, that just comes down to time... I couldn't reach John Milton through email so I'm posting. While I'm at it I might mention that I would love to see a Frequently Asked Questions type of post in this news group. I know it is a lot of work but maybe someone will be willing to take it on. I'm new to this group. What is the HD2? I guess it's an expansion board but what does it do? Since you seem to be knowledgable about upc hardware please let me ask you a question about memory expansion. I have a upc with 1M on the motherboard, is there any way to expand this to 2M? There are empty spaces for all the chips but no sockets so I think it might be kinda hard to solder in another Meg and I think there is a need for more than just RAM chips. Are you planning any projects to build a higher powered processor on an expansion board (kinda like an IBM-AT w/386 expansion board only it's a 68030 instead?)
