I recently sold my AT&T 6386 WGS and replaced it with a home built machine constructed of the following: - Cache 25 Mother board by Cache Computers (The one reviewed in BYTE Magazine) Utilizing the AMI BIOS and C & T chipset. - WD1007WA2 Hard DIsk Controller - Micropolis 170 MB Drive I have been running AT&T UNIX System 5.3.2 with the UNIX Update without a problem until I noticed recently that if I hit the <PAUSE> key or <CONTROL> <BREAK> (the same key) my keyboard locks up. The only way to unlock the keyboard is to kill the shell from a terminal that I have connected to the serial port. I spoke with AMI and they are sending a new keyboard BIOS version kF which they have said is known to cure some keyboard problems (My current version is k8 or E307-6063-091589-k8). If anyone has any insight into this problem, please let me know. I have refrained from calling the AT&T Hotline because I know they'll give me the business of their not supporting their UNIX on non-AT&T hardware. Thanks; Dave Berk ..!att!emdbl1!dab (201) 564-3294
