We are having a rather frustrating time with a 3B2-600. We have a device driver, which we have compiled and installed successfully on many different unix systems with no problems. We have compiled this driver on a 3B2-_3_00 Unix 5.3.2 machine, and it works with no problem. We took the same driver and compiled it on a 3B2-_6_00 (same unix release) however, when we try and build a kernel with this driver, the build fails with a "kernel alignment error". This may be irrelevant, but when we do the same thing on both 300's and 600's running 5.3.1, or 5.3.0, we see no problems. Maybe we are not using the correct flags to cc or ld, we are using no flags with cc and the -r flag with ld. Any ideas ?
