I own an AT&T PC6300 and have a problem with my clock. With the version of dos that came with the computer everything worked fine. I have since upgraded to MS-DOS V3.3. Now the clock does not keep time when the computer is turned off. Is there a special driver I need or did the battery just mysteriosly go dead when I switched dos versions. Thanks for you info... The DOS 2.11 that comes with the 6300 includes a built-in clock driver that understands the hardware clock. If you upgrade, you need to use an installable driver. AT&T includes one with their DOS 3.3, but I have seen public domain drivers on a number of different BBS systems. -- Peter Fales AT&T, Room 5B-420 N9IYJ 2000 N. Naperville Rd. Wade Turner Someone has probably told you this already but you need AT&T's DOS 3.3 for the clock to run correctly. I tried to use regular DOS 3.3 on both a 6300 and on a 6386 and needed to get AT&T's version. This also applies to DOS 4.01. -- __________________ Egg Clearinghouse, Inc. __________________ Wayne Clapper (uunet!eci!wfc) "I am the eggman... kokokachu..."

One that I have heard of (but have not used) is archived as clock90s.zip on the AT&T support BBS (201-769-6397). Another claim for this driver is that it will keep correct time for 1992 and beyond when even the AT&T versions of DOS will be at a loss for the right time. The documentation for this package has the technical explanations why this is all true. R. Levy
