[comp.sys.att] max mail size

mef@remus.rutgers.edu (Marc E. Fiuczynski) (01/11/91)

What is the maximum mail message size when sending a file to AT&T.
At Rutgers we can send mail message with no size restriction; however,
I'm worried that my mail message is not going to reach someone at
Bell Labs because it was close to 4 MG's big.

Anyone know the answer to this?

No, but the general rule is <= 50,000 characters!
