[net.movies] Monty Python query

I saw Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life" for the
second time last night at a friend's house. I am confused
about one section of the movie and was wondering if anyone
else had an idea what the hell it meant.

During the "middle of the film" there is a sequence
called "Find the Fish" in which a long armed weirdo, an
odd transvestite, and an elephant in a tuxedo are trying to
make the audience guess where the fish is.

Why was this in the movie and what the hell were they
joking about. Was it to please the fish in the audience (tank).
I love M.P. , but I still haven't figured this one out.

It was there so you would wonder why it was there. Perfectly straightforward
Python logic.
