[comp.sys.att] AT&T 705 terminal pinouts?

friedl@mtndew.Tustin.CA.US (Stephen J. Friedl) (06/12/91)

Hi folks,

We have read the FM and cannot find the pinouts for the 10-pin
modular port on the back of an AT&T 705 terminal. Can anybody help
out with a quick listing of what is what?

     Thanks much,
     Steve

Sure. They are as follows (taken from the 705 manual, pg8-8 & 8-10):

port 1: (DCE port, 10-pin RJ-45 type jack)

PIN (from left to right when looking at the jack)
      -------------
	1 - DSR
	2 - ?? (not listed in manual)
	3 - DCD
	4 - DTR
	5 - SG
	6 - RD
	7 - SD
	8 - CTS
	9 - RTS
	10- Protective ground

port 2: (DTE port, 25-pin D)

      PIN
      -------------
	1 - protective ground
	2 - SD
	3 - RD
	4 - RTS
	5 - CTS
	7 - SG
	8 - DCD
	20- DTR

Hope this helps.
