July 6:

"Conan the Destroyer"

		Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as Conan in this Dino De 
		Laurentiis production directed by Richard Fleischer 
		("Superman II/III") and co-starring Sarah Douglas, Wilt 
		Chamberlain and Grace Jones.

"Roadhouse"
Atlantic Rel.
		William Dafoe and Judge Reinhold star as a rockabilly singer
		and a Yale graduate who strike up a friendship on the road
		in Arizona.  John Mark Robinson directed.

July 13:

"Electric Dreams"
MGM/UA
Dolby Stereo
		Music video director Steve Barron ("Billie Jean") makes
		his feature film directing debut.  Lenny Van Dolan ("Tender
		Mercies") stars as a shy young man who uses his computer
		to romance the beautiful cellist who lives in the apartment
		above him.  Unfortunately, the computer develops a crush
		of its own.

"The Muppets Take Manhattan"
Tri-Star

		It is rumored that in the Muppets third feature film, Kermit
		and Miss Piggy finally tie the knot.  Joan Rivers, Art Carney,
		James Coco and Gregory Hines make cameo appearances.  Frank
		Oz directed.

"Cannonball II"

Dolby Stereo
		Another Burt Reynolds-Hal Needham car crash flick, this time
		with Shirley MacLaine, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy 
		Davis, Jr. Marilu Henner, Dom DeLuise, Telly Savalas, Ricardo
		Montalban and Charles Nelson Reilly.

July 20:

"Supergirl"
Warner Brothers
Dolby Stereo
		Helen Slater makes her big film debut as the cousin of Kal-El
		from the folks that brought you Superman.  Faye Dunaway,
		Peter O'Toole, Peter Cook, Mia Farrow and Brenda Vaccaro star
		in this $30M spectacle directed by Jeannot Szwarc ("Jaws 2").

July 27:

"Cheech and Chong as the Corsican Brothers"
Orion

		Expect a very loose adaptation of the Dumas swashbuckler.

August 3:

"All of Me"
Universal

		Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin star in a fantasy concerning
		a woman's soul taking root in the body of a wild and crazy
		guy.  Carl Reiner once again directs Martin, and Victoria
		Tennant and Richard Libertini co-star.

"The Best Defense"
Paramount

		Eddie Murphy plays an Army lieutenant testing a new tank who
		finds himself embroiled in an international incident.  Dudley
		Moore stars as a harried industrial engineer. Gloria Katz
		and Willard Huyck ("Indiana Jones") wrote the screenplay,
		with Huyck directing.

August 10:

"Visionquest"
Warner Brothers

		A teen drama featuring Matthew Modine of "Streamers" as a high
		school wrestler. Harold Becker ("Taps") directed and Darryl
		Ponicsan ("The Last Detail") wrote the script.

"Tightrope"
Warner Brothers
70MM Dolby Stereo
		Clint Eastwood's back, and Genevieve Bujold has him in this
		thriller with a New Orleans setting. Richard Tuggle, who
		wrote "Escape from Alcatraz", scripted and directed.

August 17:

"Sheena, Queen of the Jungle"
Columbia
70MM Dolby Stereo
		Ex-Charlie's Angel Tanya Roberts swings into action as the
		comic strip heroine perpetuates 1984's jungle madness.
		John Guillermin ("The Towering Inferno") directs.

"Red Dawn"
MGM/UA
		John Milius ("Conan the Barbarian") directs this fantasy of
		American teenagers fighting back when Russia invades the U.S.
		Patrick Swayze and C.Thomas Howell, both of "The Outsiders",
		star.

"Oxford Blues"
MGM/UA
		Rob Lowe ("Class") appears as an American athlete at Oxford 
		University, with Ally Sheedy ("War Games") as his love 
		interest.  Robert Boris' film is capped by the annual 
		Oxford-Cambridge rowing race.

"The Woman in Red"
Orion 

		Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner re-team in this remake of
		"Pardon Mon Affaire".  Wilder wrote and directed this farce
		about a man obsessed with a beautiful model.  Charles Grodin,
		Joseph Bologna and Judith Ivey are featured.

"Cloak and Dagger"
Universal
		Henry Thomas ("E.T."), Dabney Coleman and Michael Murphy
		star in this Richard Franklin ("Psycho II") film.  Thomas
		plays a boy who stumbles onto an espionage plot that he tries
		to foil with the help of a superhero-type friend.

"Grandview U.S.A"
Warner Brothers

		C.Thomas Howell and Patrick Swayze (in their third film 
		together), Jamie Lee Curtis, Jennifer Jason Leigh and
		Michael Winslow ("Police Academy") star in a comedy-drama
		about the habitues of a midwestern demolition derby.
		Randal Kleiser ("Grease", "The Blue Lagoon") directs.

August 24:

"Night of the Comet"
Atlantic Rel.

		Thom Eberhardt wrote and directed this science fiction comedy
		centering on the arrival of a comet whose last appearance
		60 million years ago wiped out the dinosaurs.  Robert Beltran,
		Catherine Mary Stewart and Mary Woronov star.
