[comp.sys.apple] applecat problem

My 212 upgrade card came with a really cheap ribbon cable connecting the main
board to the 212 card.  As Mel Moy (melmoy@nprdc) stated, it is easy for the
wires to come loose inside the connectors.  THey aren't soldered -- they use
those cheap friction clamps to hold them in.

What I did is made sure all the connections were in place and tight.  Then
I put a drop of solder onto each wire where it slides into the connector clamp.
The Apple Cat works just fine now, and has been for over a year since I did
this.
