WHOA! "Things to Come" was directed by William Cameron Menzies
in 1936, *not* Orson Welles. It *was*, however, based on a work
written by H.G.Wells (Welles?). Orson Welles didn't direct any
movies until "Citizen Kane" (about 4 years later).
("Things..." was pretty dull, I recall.)

I believe The Shape of Things to Come is the title of the
H.G. Wells book upon which the movie is based.
