I borrowed a friend's documentation for Softerm 2, and miracle of miracles, it supports my old Sup'R'Terminal Board. Being a Yankee, thus a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" I have decided to forgo any neat enhancements it would provide (as soon as i take the time to fix its numerous problems with my system) I am contacting the dealer and returning it. This investment may make sense a little later, but not now. Softerm 2 also knows about the Hayes micromodem II (300 baud which I'm using now. They have gained a fan, and as soon as I minimize price they will have gained a customer. Thoughts on Serial bds would still be appreciated. Does high price really buy high quality. I would like to be able to run a printer, and transfer at 9600 when I take the effort to take this into where I work and hardwire it, bu mainly I want to use it to hook onto a modem 1200 or 2400 baud. Thoughts? Lyman Hurd
