Paul, you 've misinterpreted the numbers in the original query.  The correct 
speed is indeed 300 RPM.  Expressed as period instead of frequency, that comes
out to 200 milliseconds per rotation.  The usual rotational speed tolerance is 
2 percent = 196 t0 204 msec/rot.  Apple is a little tighter than that, but
200.2 and 199.7 are still more than acceptably close - for all practical
purposes, they're dead on.
