I seem to be having quite a bit of trouble with United Software. I have been trying since December 20th to call their customer service number in Denver. Each time I call I get either a busy signal or no answer. It doesn't seem to make any difference when I call during their hours, the response, or lack, is the same. This suggests to me that they are only using the phone to make outgoing calls. Does anyone know why? Calls to their main office in the L.A. area are worse than worthless. Aside from that, I also have a problem with their software. I am using a ProDos ASCII Express and it will not recognize the Super Serial card in one of my machines. I have a //e with a Micro-Sci 128k/80 column card that works fine but when I try to boot the program in my other machine with the Apple 80 column card it's no-go. The DOS seems to load but the program never goes to 80 columns or to the AE Term-> prompt. The reason I say that it won't recognize the SS card is that if I remove it from the troublesome machine the program boots and runs fine, up to the point of dialing. This is the only difference between the two machines, all other cards and settings are the same. Any suggestions here? Thanks, Bruce Jones
