I am happily using Softerm 2 on a 64K Apple II+. I think that you need to specify this when ordering, however, because the keypad add-on works differently I believe. On a II+ you need a free slot, but for later models I believe that it uses the game port. The program will deal with 40 columns but it is very useful to have 80, as well as some sort of Upper/lower case mod. It knows about the shift-key wired to game port mod, as well as direct to 80 column board mods. It also supports a large number of 80 column boards (my Sup'R'Term included, although I believe long defunct). I don't have their number on hand, but it should be in their ads. Their technic al support people have been prompt and helpful. I phoned in with a bug in the inve rse video for the VT-100 emulation. They said that the problem was known to them an d suggested a patch. Within a couple of weeks I got a phone call from them to the effect that they were shipping me new disks with the problem properly fixed. Lyman Hurd
