Re: Interrupts and reboots on II+
I had a similar problem with a II+ a few years ago. The power
supply turned out to be very sensitive to voltage dips, and the electric
heat in my house would sometimes kill me as often as three times in 30
minutes. I finally proved it was power fluctuations by borrowing a SOLA
constant-voltage transformer. With the transformer, I didn't have any
problems at all.
If you can't get your hands on a good transformer, try plugging in
a lamp on the same outlet with your Apple. If the lamp dims every time the
Apple crashes, you'll know it's a power problem.
If it is a power problem, good luck. Transformers and UPS's are
expensive unless you can find one secondhand or build one yourself. It
might be better to modify the power supply in the Apple, if someone knows a
cheap fix.
