[comp.sys.apple] HARD drives for Apple CP/M with PCPI Applicard?

binder@fizbin.DEC.COM.UUCP (03/13/87)

I'd like to find a hard disk at least 10 Mbytes in size that comes with a
driver suitable for installing into Applicard CP/M on an Apple //e. (The
oddity about Applicard CP/M is that its drivers are written in Apple 6502 code
and reside in the Apple's native memory.) Any info out there?

Cheers,
Dick Binder (The Stainless Steel Rat)

The Sider comes in 10 and 20 Meg versions, and also has an optional
cartridge tape unit for backups. Prices are the best I have seen for
mass storage for Apple II type machines. And most importantly, it
works with PCPI CP/M. I have one installed on my enhanced IIe, and it
works just fine. Floppy in slot 6, Sider in slot 4, and PCPI in slot 3.
(Yes! you can put a PCPI Applicard in slot 3 without ill effect! At
last, a use for slot 3!)

Call first Class Peripherals in Carson City Nevada,
or you can order the Sider through A.P.P.L.E. Co-Op. Or check the ads
in Apple II mags.
