Hi, We recently got a transwarp card, and we'd like to swap out the 65c02 for the 65c802. With the transwarp, all that is necessary is to change the CPU; the PALs can stay the same. The point is, Applied Engineering wants $90.00 for the chip. Too much money. I called Western Design Labs, and they'll sell me one for $54.00 in qty. 1. That still seems expensive. Does anyone out there know where to get one? All the other vendors act like they've never heard of the 65c802. Thanks in advance for any leads. Can you tell me some of the advantages (and disadvantages) of replacing the 65C02 with a 65C802? I have one ][e with a transwarp now, and am waiting for another Transwarp to come in. Thanks Bruce P. Maybe I missed something in the reading, but if you already have a Transwarp why are you waiting for another Transwarp to come in? Bud

I have a ][e at home (the one waiting for the Transwarp), and two ][e at my laboratory, one of which has a Transwarp now. Sorry for the confusion. My wife also has a Transwarpless ][e. I use an expanded (Apple) ][c in my office and for traveling, a Laser 128 to run and experiment, and am burdened with a DEC 11/24 and an HP85.

Try S-C Software, the publishers of Apple Assembly Line and the S-C assembler. They advertise one for $50.00 (maybe less now). I don't have their address but I believe they are in Dallas, TX. Rick Fincher ranger@ecsvax
