I just purchased a //gs and got appleworks at the same time because this seems to be the program everyone is always talking about and it did say on the package it was //gs compatible. I found that it is //gs compatible but only because it runs on all the // series not because it used the advanced features of the //gs. Does apple read this column? Hey you guys how come you didn't put a mouse interface on appleworks for the //gs? I was real disappointed when I saw it was not mouse compatible. Is there any plans to modify appleworks so it is mouse driven? I sure hope so. Jack Fine

No problem, if a mouse and AppleWorks is what you want. Just acquire Beagle Bros. SUPER MACROWORKS. It will add a mouse to AppleWorks, plus the ability to write quite long and complicated keystroke macros that can be stored on disk. A very useful set of macros comes with SUPER MACROWORKS. I'm assuming that you have AppleWorks 2.0; if you somehow acquired an earlier version, use Macroworks (or better yet, get the upgrade to v2.0). Once you have used AppleWorks with a mouse, it will be difficult to do without it. Bruce P. Halpern
