[comp.sys.apple] kermit 3.73

ELORANTA@BRANDEIS.BITNET (01/09/87)

To my last question about new kermit: Yes, I ment kermit 3.73 ...

         ------------------------------

If I don't want that reset goes to the monitor should I
replace the BRK instruction with NOP that is at the beginning
         of reset handler ?

Two questions about Kermit 3.73 (I think sources were posted to the net
a month or two ago):

1) With the current version, there is no way to dial out of Kermit. Is
there a version floating around that will allow me to use the autodial
capability built into my Avatex 1200hc (Hayes compatible)? It would be
much easier to be able to dial into the local network from within
Kermit.

2) Does anyone know if there is a driver available for the IIgs modem
port?

Thanks in advance.

If you have a Hayes compatible modem, type ATDT 123-4567 to dial the
number in touch tone or ATDP to dial pulse. You do this after you
type C to connect from the Kermit prompt. Kermit doesn't auto-dial
from a phone book but you can dial from within the program with no
problem.

I too am interested in a //gs driver. I haven't tried the Super serial driver
but I understand that it doesn't work with the //gs. I also haven't
had time to write a driver of my own. If anyone has please post it.

Thanks,
