Just got WordPerfect for the GS. Seems to live up to the expectations I had for it based on my experience with the IBM version. It is a slight variation of the IIe/IIc version, which is what caused a minor disappointment. The manual says there is an Install utility that can take a text file as a set of directions for copying files, setting pefixes, creating subdirectories, setting some WP parameters -- the idea being to boot everything to RAM. Unfortunately, the GS version does not seem to have that particular utilitity -- anyone know why and whether the IIe/IIc one would work? (yes, I know there would be a lot more files to copy since the GS version uses the full ProDos 16 with toolbox.) Or, lacking that, can someone recommend a similar utility -- how flexible is the Beagle Bros. one? p.s., the ProDos system that comes with it seems to have a later version of the various pieces than came with the machine -- so Apple is finally fixing the minor bugs, maybe.
