I admit I've had virtually no direct exposure to Logo, but it occured to me their might be a more satisfactory alternative. What do the rest of you think of Garry Kitchen's GameMaker instead of Logo. I know Logo has been around a long time and is certainly a classic, but GameMaker is so easy to use and so much more powerful, the kids would probably get a lot more out of it. Besides painting screens and drawing graphics, they could learn to make their own sprites, create sounds, music, not to mention learn how to combine them all into a program. I've got a six and a three year old. It is so modular that you can start them with little pieces of the program and they still have a ball. It definitely provides a long playing learning experience. Since I've only been exposed to half the equation, I'd be interested in any other opinions. --Mark
