O.K., everyone - dig out your May 1987 issue of A+ magazine and turn to the ad from BCP on pages 44-45. Look on page 44, far left column, in the "Computers" section. They have listed a "Laser GS (New) CALL" entry. I could call myself, but I've already got a IIgs, so I'm not *that* interested - but I am sightly curious. Has anyone heard anything about this interesting item? I'd dismiss it as an April Fool prank, but it is the May issue, after all. I have seen ads for a 640K Laser but it was called the Laser 640. I called BCP and they didn't have the machines or any information about them. The airhead I talked thought that they maybe, might be an Apple //gs compatible or "Something like that". I would think it would take a long time to clone the hardware of the //gs and even longer to clone the software because it has 128K of ROM that Apple has been refining for over 5 years. It will be interesting to see what kind of ploy this is. Rick Fincher ranger@ecsvax PS I'm not disparaging the Laser 128 in any way, I think it is a great machine, a price leader.
