(posted a longer summary of my GS WordPerfect experiences to date, but that seemed to have gotten lost. Will just ask one question ...) a) The Apple WordPerfect ads say the files of the Apple and IBM versions are compatible. Anyone had much luck with this (even on the IIe/c version?). Apart from the difficulty of getting the file type changed from TXT or BIN to $A0 (which is what WP uses) -- sector editor works fine to do that -- for some reason footnotes don't carry over from IBM=>Apple, but do the other way. WordPerfect said I had to upgrade my IBM version to 4.2 from the 4.0 I was using; that doesn't make sense, but I'll try. (Apart from that, the GS version is pretty flaky -- hangs up a lot.) b) The mouse button on supermacroworks is awfully sensitive -- often can't seem to release it fast enough. Tried changing the "sensitivity" numbers in the Option menu, to no great affect. Anyone else have this problem? Does it occur on the IIe/IIc? (tried running at slow speed; didn't help)
