Graystoke, The Legend of Tarzan I'm relatively new to net.movies so I don't know if I've missed the discussion of this movie or not. Anyway, I was personally disappointed with this movie. I was hoping that finally someone would make a movie faithful to the books and present Tarzan as the heroic and intelligent character E. R. Burroughs intended. If a Tarzan movie made in the vein of Raiders of the Lost Ark, ie the character not ment to be taken as an actual true to life human, all the elements of the books(adventure, romance, intrigue) would be embodied. However, I definately would not want to see the Tarzan of the 30s and 40s repeated. Tarzan is Lord Graystoke of England; sophisticated, intelligent, honorable and savage. This latest Tarzan movie is especially disappointing in that Tarzan is presented as a bewildered man unable to adapt to civilization and who is never able to acquire the behavior of a human. That is not the tarmangani who is KING OF THE APES! Nuff said. C. Lyons ITT Raliegh, NC.
