[comp.sys.apple] Kermit 3.75 on Apple 2c

U00214@HASARA5.BITNET.UUCP (05/06/87)

After I used ACCESS II for several years I'm now trying to
startup KERMIT 3.75 on my Apple 2c. Everything went fine untill
I tried to use it. The KERMIT runs ok I can use the SET-options
etc. However, after connecting to the host I get a lot of garbage
back, the one you get whoen # of databits or parity is not set
correctly.
A friend of mine is using the KERMIT on his Apple 2c and this
works well.
Does anybody know of changes to port 2. My Apple is from nov.'84
my friend's Apple is from a recent datum.
Can anybody help ??

I'm hearing so much about KERMIT. Excuse me, but WHAT IS IT? I get the
impression that it's some terminal program/shell module like CATALYST. I am
right? Would someone please care to elaborate?
