I have a program which I purchased from Micro Sparc (Nibble Magazine) which also speeds up the collection problem.

This is a dumb question, but a necessary one for me. What is meant by the term "garbage collection"? Is it the process by which the computer purges unused variables and strings, etc.? I'm not sure...
