[comp.sys.apple] Ada for Apple

I don't think that 128K is sufficient space for ADA. When Ibm's PC AT is almost
big enough, the Apple //e won't make it.

John, I think this is a non-sequitur. MicroPro's InfoStar requires 192K on an
IBM, yet the same software will run in a 56K CP/M-80 system. The difference
is in the way overlays, etc., are structured. I'm quite sure that an Ada
compiler *could* be built for Apple; the only question is, is it a sensible
idea? Does anyone in the real world, meaning the military or big business,
think Ada on an Apple is useful enough to warrant the very expensive
development and certification processes?

Cheers,

Since a ][e can easily have 1 meg, and 4 to 8 times that if necessary, the
comment about 128k for a ][e, and the comparison to the 640K limited AT, is
difficult to understand.
