Well despite an earlier message the GS serial port does emulate a Super Serial card (wish apple would put the commands in the manual). I borrowed a manual and sure enough IN#2 followed by carrage return gave a flashing ? when a control A was typed. As the letter said a Ctr A 3B gave 300 baud and Ctr AT resulted in an underline cursor. This indicated I was in terminal mode so a few AT commands to my modem and I was on the system. I'm using it to send this. So if your listening to us little people apple tell us what our machines can really do. All commands I tried seem to work although the desk top does not indicate any changes were made and the system reverts to the desk top settings. By the way to go from 80 column to 40 column you old ][+ ers you use ESC ctrQ not pr#0 as back in the old days. Hope this a bit of help.
