I've found that the timing of some communications programs doesn't support printing while receiving. SOFTERM 2 will do it (most of the time), but I've had some trouble with an Apple Parallel card clone. Why not receive the file from the Xerox as a text file (store to disk or RAM) and then print it with whatever word processor you have handy? I've done that with files downloaded from our IBM mainframe (usually because I didn't want to take the time to wait on my rather slow daisy wheel printer while I was linked to the mainframe).
