Two Apple Clubs in the local area are looking for ProDOS-based Bulletin Board Software. Our requirements are as follows: 1. Support for XMODEM protocol, preferably with DOS 3.3, ProDOS and Binary 2 extensions. 2. Support for a BBS message section with 10 or more sub-boards. 3. Adequate security features including at least a 6 character password, audit files, and ability for the SYSOP to terminate an incoming call quickly. 4. Runable on an Apple II+ whith 64k RAM and a Sider hard disk. 5. Source code in BASIC or PASCAL available so that enhancements or updates can be added easily. The following features are desireable, though not strictly necessary: 1. Support for XMODEM Batch and/or YMODEM protocols. 2. Ability to act as a Kermit Server. Cost should be < $150. I will consolidate all responses and post the results. Please respond through the net or via GEnie. Thanks, Henry Dowst GEnie: DOWST

I would say that GBBS 1.3 would be your best bet. I have worked with this system before and have found it very versatile. If you want, I can probably dig up the address of the company....
