A recent article asked us to "vote" for the character we would like to see as the lead in character for to replace the period "." on EXECUTIONER files ("+" was given as a possibility). I have two questions: 1. Why not use a character that cannot ever cause a problem? I have in mind one of the characters "A-Z" OR "A-Z" If you use any of the other printing symbols on the keyboard there is bound to some formatting program somewhere that will use it as a signal to dive into a hole. 2. Why not ask Glen Bredon? He must of had a reason for choosing the period, a character that has widespread use in text formatting programs as a lead in character and was sure to cause trouble. (While you are at it, ask him why he chooses names that are sheer hell to spell i.e. EXECUTIONER, SOURCEROR) Joe Walters ihnp4!ihesa!bird
