I suggest that if someone has a file they'd like to offer to the public that they just announce that it's available and just send it via private mail to the folks who are interested. Most usenet users have access to other nets with better file transfer capabilities than usenet anyway. It's very inconvenient to find huge files of things you already have, particularly when you have to pay to get these files frequently. Perhaps we should draw a line and say that any file over 3K in length should only be sent upon request and then only as a private mail message.
