SEWALL@UCONNVM.BITNET (08/03/87)
Yes, I meant what I said, during the change-over between info-apple from arpa to the LISTSERV on bitnet I received only one or two duplicates of the dozen or so messages I recevied through arpa. Since last Thursday (messages dated from Wed), I have received zip, zero, none, not-a-thing from LISTSERV at NDSUVM1. I believe I've received exactly one message from the LISTSERV since the changeover. There WAS a problem with UConn's MAILER over the weekend, but I've received mail from a dozen or so other sources throughout the weekend and dated before, during, and after the problem with our mailer (which as near as I can determine only affected our ability to send out, not receive). Certainly a check with other bitnet subscribers (EWING@YALEVM, CC004019@BROWNVM, DICKSON@HARTFORD), especially those served by LISTSERV at MARIST seems warranted. The bitnet coordinator here is John Hammond (BITNET@UCONNVM -- I've discovered that BITNET is a very poor choice of id since the MAILER thinks his mail should be sent to WISCVM, but that's it anyway) if the problem does appear local to UConn.
