FYI, here's my current buglist for WordPerfect GS, V. 1.1, Rel. H:
1. Exit but stay in WP mixes old and new files; there is a workaround
(save your file; delete the whole workspace; read new file -- don't
use the exit key as a way of going to a new document.)
2. Imagewriter II proportional and some other fonts supported very poorly
(justification doesn't work.)
3. Open-apple macros don't work while printer is going.
4. Despite ad claims, can't really interchange with IBM version files (maybe
this is more a truth in advertizing problem than a bug: it can be done if
you use a lowest common denominator set of features and if you fiddle with
the ProDos file type.)
5. Can't change the page length to shorter pages (e.g., for labels)
6. margin release (e.g., for hanging indent) doesn't work after tabs have
been changed
7. blank line not always put between footer and text; seems to have something
to do with the end of page coinciding with end of line/paragraph
8. conditional end of page flakey
9. If you change fonts/pitch, must make sure footers/headers have font
codes in them -- more a documentation bug than anything.
Talked to their support people today (I do that about once every other
week.) They were aware of most of the above and claim to be fixing
them.
The mouse-based version advertized in the magazines that just came out
will be available in September (well, if the magazine is dated September
what else should you expect.) Current owners will be notified of the
upgrade policy. No other releases (e.g., bug fixes) are planned between
now and then.
Anyone else have anything to add? Can anyone else duplicate my bugs?
