The proper way to unsubscribe from a list is to send a command to the server, not post a message on the list. In the case of APPLE2-L send a message (email will do) to LISTSERV@BROWNVM <---- nota bene NOT TOO APPLE2-L!!!!!!! SIGNOFF APPLE2-L or UNSUBSCRIBE APPLE2-L (both commands mean the same thing).
