Shame on me for passing a local newspaper article on the TOPS network to a friend! TOPS has a card and software that makes an MS-DOS computer Apple-Talk compatible (and even lets an Appletalk network run on ordinary phone lines). As I recall the cost of hardware plus software for a PC type computer is just under $400. I suspect that another comp.sys.apple reader will known an address or phone number for TOPS. As far as I know, there is no hardware for connecting a lowly Apple II to Apple-Talk (odd, eh what?). However, Don Lancaster has software that patches a LaserWriter driver into AppleWriter (an Apple II CAN print to an Apple LaserWriter printer). Alas, I don't have my back issues of Open Apple at the office, but I'm sure someone can send you Don's address/ phone number too (now that you mention it...). --------------------- ARPA: sewall%uconnvm.bitnet@wiscvm.wisc.edu Murphy A.
