I would like to connect my Apple IIc (up-to-date ROMS, ca. 384K RAM [Apple]
if that matters) to an Amdec Color-II RGB monitor. The Amdec manual states
that it wants RGB separated, TTL level positive input. The IIc technical
manual states that certain of its special video port (designed for Apple
color monitor and Apple LCD screen [I use the latter]) outputs must be
buffered within 4 inches of the port.
Video-7 made (?makes?) a Apple ][c to Apple color monitor connector which
I might be able to buy for ca. $60. Its output plug doesn't make the video
input connector of the Amdec Color-II, but that could be rewired if I had
sufficient information. The Amdec manual *does* indicate the appropriate
input to each of its pins. However, the Video-7 manual give no wiring info
for its cable.
Therefore: a) Will the Video-7 adapter work is it can be connected?
b) Is there a better (if not cheaper) way?
I would appreciate input from anyone with relevant experience or knowledge.
