[comp.sys.apple] AppleWorks 2.0 wanted

Does anyone have a copy of the AppleWorks 2.0 upgrade with docs they
would like to sell? Unfortunately, I made the grave error of not
upgrading from version 1.3 to 2.0 before August 1, and now the only way
to upgrade is to buy AppleWorks 2.0 at its full price (which I definitely
can't afford after having just upgraded from a //e to the IIGS). At
the time the upgrade offer was available, I wasn't interested in it
because I was happy with version 1.3 for my //e, and wasn't planning on
buying a IIGS. Well, that changed after I saw some dealer demos of the
IIGS (by now it was already after August 1st). Anyways, I thought
that version 1.3 would be fine until I got my Applied Engineering GSRam
card. Their ad states that the GSRam card comes with software to
expand AppleWorks. Well, it does, but what the ad doesn't state (some
more complaints about Applied Engineering's ads) is that the memory
expansions to AppleWorks only works with AppleWorks 2.0! It does add a
couple of things to AppleWorks 1.3 like a time display, but not
the expanded memory enhancements, which is one of the main reasons
I went with the Applied Engineering GSRam card over the others.

So anyways, now I'm kicking myself for not having shelled out the 50 bucks
before August 1st. If only I had known a couple of months ago that I was
going to get the IIGS, I would have. I think it would have been nice
of Apple to extend the AppleWorks 2.0 upgrade deal to new purchasers of
the IIGS who were upgrading from an older Apple II and had an older
version of AppleWorks, but I realize they're out to make money just
like everyone else. Well, enough crying over spilled milk.

If anyone has, or knows someone who has, the Appleworks 2.0 upgrade that
you would like to sell, I'd be more than willing to pay you the $50 that
you paid for it (maybe even more, as long as it saves me from paying the
full price for AppleWorks 2.0). Please reply to this forum or email to
Rankins@Dockmaster.arpa.

                                        Thanks in advance,
                                        Ray
