The following patch allows one to use the 128K Prodos Apple Writer version 2.0 on the Apple IIGS. (In order to not follow in the footsteps of Joe Biden, I must attribute it to Don Lancaster as presented in the February 1987 issue of Open Apple.) from the Monitor, enter BLOAD AWD.SYS,A$2000,TSYS verify that 4DB0 is A0, then 4DB0:60 verify that 4F67 is 01, then 4F67:10 verify that 4F6E is 31, then 4F6E:13 BSAVE AWD.SYS,A$2000,TSYS According to Open-Apple, this patch makes Apple Writer treat the IIgs as if what appears to be a Super Serial Card is a third party interface card. It also disables the control-O J set modem/printer interface option. What I don't understand is why the file length isn't specified in the BSAVE command. --------------------- ARPA: stein%uconnvm.bitnet@wiscvm.wisc.edu Alan H.
