There is a patch to enable you to run the Prodos version of Applewriter on an Apple IIGS using the internal printer port -- I have used it myself. Unfortunately, I cannot locate it. From the sources I usually use, I must have seen it in one of the following sources: Open Apple, Nibble, A+ Computer or InCider. If I find it, I'll post it. Or perhaps someone else recalls it.
