Just got back from seeing Firestarter. A fair movie, in my opinion. The plot is a bit thin and the premise a bit overdone, but the special effects are neat. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 6. I only paid $2 to see it, and I would say I got just a bit more than what I paid for it. But I'd question paying $4. Incidentally my sister also saw the movie and gave it better: 7 1/2 on a scale of 10. She felt it wasn't any worse than any other horror film (in terms of believablility). The R rating is not because of sex but violence. Several graphic deaths. They did evoke a collective gasp from the audience, so I guess they did their job. However, we both noticed that people were laughing at parts that weren't supposed to be funny. Rick Lindsley
