Having seen the movie I wish not to review it, but to make 2 com- ments, one regarding the suitability for children, and the other regarding technical quality. I wonder if any of the individuals who are crying "too violent for the kiddies" have any children of their own? I have seen the movie twice, once when it opened at a late showing with my wife (managed to snarf some tickets) and the second time at an early (0900) show with my wife and 12 year old son. She was scared more (the first time) then he was. The second time around, she enjoyed the scenes that she avoided (the jungle, the diner, the "fortune cookie" room) the first time around. My son loved it. He felt that it would not cause problems in little kids, but it might scare the pant off of some adults. Regarding special effects. So the matting wasn't done as well as I would have expected. Who cares, it is a fun flick. BUT THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO SEE THE CAMERA PLANE (5 seconds in upper right corner of the scene) IN THE ROPE BRIDGE SCENE! In closing, see this flick! The Mad Hacker (...!aplvax!milo!klr)
