Yes, Proterm 1.8 is a beta version of Proterm 2.0 which is expected to be released in a couple of months or so, I believe. And it is quite buggy, I would not attempt to use any of the file transfer protocols at all. It also seems to crash unexpectedly for no reason. The editor is very nice, though, as it will allow you to read either standard ASCII text files or AWP files, and it will write out both formats also. Terminal emulations for the VT100 and IBM3101 seem to work properly as does the VT52. I haven't tried any of the others. It looks like version 2.0 will be quite nice... now if they'd only add a mouse... Scott Strange Kansas University
