[comp.sys.apple] No place for tinkerers

I go to the local computer store and, instead of them speaking computerese
and me being confused, I ask technical questions and they don't understand
them. Sigh.

No offense to any readers who might also sell computers, but it seems to me
that most computer strores are run by "business" people who don't know the
first thing about computers and who might as well be selling power tools or
home appliances. They'd probably be better off selling appliances -- When
was the last time you went into an appliance store to ask about the ROM in
your microwave oven?

Doug stated, " I ask technical questions..."

I respectfully suggest that if the quality of answers does not at least
give some satisfaction, tis time to change stores!
