DON'T SEND MAIL TO INFO-APP AT NDSUVM1 !!!!! The proper address for info-apple (from bitnet) is: info-apple@brl.arpa (yes, you use the '@' character AND you must use MAIL not NOTE <or SENDFILE>). In answer to your question about TIC - the program was written for the "standard" //c and IIgs configurations (that is IIgs internal port, or a Super Serial Card <or clone which supports interrupts> in slot 2). The author (Don Elton) has indicated that he's not interested in writing a Micromodem driver because the past experience of shareware authors in general is that 300 baud modem owners (or at least Micromodem users) haven't demonstrated any inclination to support shareware (that is they fail to send in the fees for programs they use). As ye sew, so shall ye reap, I suppose. Kermit (3.79 is now available from KERMSRV at CUVMA) does support the Micromodem (and is freeware). It'll work fine with your mainframe, and talk to your local bbs. Alas, it doesn't support any form of Xmodem, so the only bbs systems you can transfer files with are fido's and RBBS's (which are MS-DOS based). --------------------- ARPA: sewall%uconnvm.bitnet@wiscvm.wisc.edu Murphy A.
