Please pardon me, this is only the second time I have ever written a messege on this news bulliton board... I have purchased a few commercial software programs for my Apple IIgs. Namely: Deluxe Paint II (by Electronic Arts) Music Studio (by Activision) Paintworks Plus (by Activision) I really enjoy using these programs, and I have no regrets about purchasing any of them. I bought Paintworks Plus before Deluxe Paint II was released, and although Deluze Paint II blows all the other graphics programs I've seen, I still rely upon Paintworks Plus for It's ability to manipulate Patterns. Yet, my only complaint is the lack of user support in the form of backup protection. When I pay almost $100.00 for a drawing program (as in the case of Deluxe Paint II) I want to have backups! Now I realize that they are offering to send all of us registered owners an unprotected version of this ectremely useful product, but only for a mere extra $20.00! Plus shipping. I'm not crazy about this offer. However, if I can't find a way to backup my original soon, I'm going to have to succomb to this offer just in order to protect my original investment. I read a news article on this board about de-protecting Music Studio. Could you please let me in on the secret? Does anyone else know how to backup any of the other programs I have mentioned? Copy-Protection of the 3.5" disks seems to be rather mysterious at this point and I have not heard of any products which can effectively backup such protected media. Does anyone have any information or rumors concerning a COPY II PLUS 3.5" (or anything along these lines). If you can supply any patches which would help my situation please let me in on it. okay? Thanx
