Help! A friend of mine is looking for a public domain, or low lost terminal program to run on his IIc. His main use would be to dial into the CMS system here at Rice. The Visual 200 terminals we normally use to access CMS emulate IBM 3270s (I think) so it would be nice if the program could do this. We might be able to hack something up on our own if the program was in basic, though. Another problem is how to get the program onto the IIc. Obviously, if the program is commercial he can buy it and run it unmodified. If the program is in BASIC, somebody could mail me the source on CMS and we could print it, then type it into the IIc. If it's a binary file there could be a problem. I can use FTP to download stuff to the a Mac, but getting it to the IIc becomes a sort of a problem. Anyway, anybody got any info? Please e-mail responses to me as I read this group on an irregular basis. Thanks, Scott Storkel Rice University Macintosh Software Development (Storkel@Rice.Bitnet) Disclaimer: My actions are my own. Rice University and ICSA are not responsible for them, and in fact, don't know that anything besides a Mac, PS2, Sun, VAX, or mainframe exist. I, however, can STILL hack 6502 assembly language.
